The Moon; A Photo-Poetic Essay

THE MOON

Mystic eye of the darkened sky,

Compelled to stray, estranged, on high –

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Pallored by the sight of woe below,

it watches

At night when groping souls emerge

And hears the sobs that upward surge

From broken things –

Even the wolf’s howl, and questioning;

Propelled in unrelenting circuit,

It lights the gloom unfit for lives

That, too, wander derelict alone –

As it mirrors peace

In its imprisoned solitude.
